As a COBOL Developer at EGS, you will play a crucial role in the design, development, and maintenance of our business-critical applications. The ideal candidate should have a solid understanding of COBOL programming principles and be able to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- Proven experience as a COBOL Programmer/Developer
- Strong proficiency in COBOL programming language
- Knowledge of databases and SQL
- Familiarity with mainframe environments and technologies
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities
Responsibilities:
- Analyze and understand business requirements to develop technical specifications
- Code, test, and debug COBOL programs to meet project requirements
- Collaborate with other developers, analysts, and stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery
- Maintain and enhance existing COBOL applications
