As a Coating operator you will be assigned to work on a coating line. You may work in one or more work stations, including the face unwind, liner unwind, die, main console/winder and Quality lab. You may be proficient on more than one coating asset in a given location. You will be responsible for leading machine set ups and changeovers, problem-solving, coordinating preventative maintenance (PMs) and making decisions on machine adjustments.
This role is for night shift (7:00 p.m. - 7:00 a.m.) on a 2-2-3 schedule.
Starting hiring rate: $24.16/hr plus $2/hr shift differential
In this role, you will also be responsible for:
Maintain a clean, safe work area and adhere to all safety polices. Consistently working in a safe manner with regard to self, co-workers and manufacturing systems.
Loading raw material into the machine and unloading finished product.
Determining and controlling the machine cycle, varying and modifying as necessary.
Performing tests and checking product routinely for multiple characteristics, using standard measuring devices and making some judgments against standards that are not readily measurable.
Meeting production schedules and programming production sequences for optimal productivity.
Following standard operating procedures and specifications or instructions of higher level technical personnel. Monitoring meters, gauges, valves, flow ratios, temperatures, pressures and related controls and guidelines to ensure adherence to production/process specifications.
Maintaining production records and logs of equipment and product performance.
Supporting safety, quality and continuous improvement initiatives.
Teamwork: Assisting and supporting other team members in meeting department and site goals. Participating and sharing in performing all tasks necessary to run the facility. Contributing and participating in team decision making. Providing support in project work and other special requests.
Perform all other duties assigned by the supervisor.
Required:
High school diploma or equivalent (GED) or 3+ years of relevant manufacturing work experience.
Regard safety as a core value; must be willing and able to work safely; must always wear PPE.

Good written and oral communication skills.
Ability to read and comprehend documents related to product manufacturing.
Able to work both individually and in a team-based environment.
Able to work during the designated hours and accept a reasonable amount of overtime (including weekends).
Demonstrated initiative, integrity, and judgment skills
Demonstrate record of embracing and contributing to daily ELS processes and tools - MDI, standard work, 5S, etc.
Positive attitude, a strong work ethic, and demonstrated reliability.
Proficiency with computer applications, especially strong ERP system transactional skills.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds without assistance periodically through the shift.
Preferred:
2 years of experience in skilled labor position with demonstrated mechanical aptitude
