Position: CNC Machinist/Programmer
Location: Richmond, VA
Duration: Full-Time, Contract to Hire
Salary: $30.00/hr.
Overview: Qualdoc is seeking for Mid-Level - CNC Machinist with expertise in CNC Mill and/or Lathe operations. If you have a strong background in Mastercam programming and a commitment to precision, we want to hear from you. Our ideal candidate has at least 3 years of hands-on experience in programming and machining. Key Responsibilities:
Mastercam Programming: Utilize Mastercam software to create, modify, and optimize CNC programs.
Precision Machining: Operate CNC machines to produce high-quality parts according to engineering drawings.
Quality Assurance: Perform quality checks using precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers.
Troubleshooting: Work collaboratively with the team to troubleshoot and resolve machining issues efficiently.
Safety and Maintenance: Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Qualifications:
Technical Proficiency: At least 2 years of experience in Mastercam and CAM programming.
Experience: At least 5 years of experience in Machine Operation with machining or programming experience.
Precision Skills: Skilled in using precision measuring instruments and understanding of GD&T.
Operational Knowledge: Strong understanding of CNC machining operations, including machine setup, tooling, and changeout programming.
Blueprint Reading: Extensive knowledge of manufacturing processes and blueprint reading.
Must know how to calculate speeds and feeds for CNC machining.
Preferred:
5 years of experience in a machine shop environment.
