Due to continuous growth and expansion, Pharmathen Pharmaceuticals offers a great opportunity for career development and is seeking to recruit a CMO Supplier Relationship Senior Manager for the Supply Chain /CMOs department at our Marousi premises.

As a CMO Supplier Relationship Senior Manager the ideal candidate will maintain an integrative overview of the Contract Manufacturing Organizations’ (CMOs) business activities and serve as the “Face of Pharmathen” for them. This position leads a portfolio of CMOs to deliver superior results in all Supply Chain Key factors to better meet business needs, a cross functional team of different functions and acts as a ‘’Virtual Site Leader’’ with all key functions being part of the team, including supply chain planning, packaging engineering, purchasing, exports, logistics, warehouse, quality, and other functions as needed.

What you will do:

  • Direct oversight and management of multiple global CMOs
  • Effectively manage all operational activities to deliver supply from the CMOs
  • Ensure the successful resolution of all issues that may impact timely supply of product and/or contractual obligations
  • Ensure operational strategy for each CMO is aligned with product strategy for the specific CMO
  • Collaborate with CMOs and internal stakeholders to ensure quality product and supply stability while maintaining competitive cost of goods and continually manage the balance between them
  • Own compliance and quality agenda for long term of the assigned CMOs
  • Proactively identify supply risks and implement strategies to avoid or minimize their impact on the business
  • Be accountable for the performance of the assigned CMOs
  • Be responsible for reviewing and communicating CMO performance metrics and the development of the improvement plans as warranted
  • Drive performance and continuous improvement within the assigned CMOs to mitigate risks and optimize value
  • Lead Business Review processes
  • Manage and maintain positive relations with the assigned CMOs through structured supplier relationship models
  • Segmentate and differentiate CMOs depending on maturity and business criticality
  • Proactively coordinate and engage internal and external business stakeholders to leverage supplier capabilities and optimize value for Pharmathen and its CMOs
  • Align with CMOs to build mutual trust and confidence, as a basis for long term relationships, create a sustainable partnership and strive for a win-won balance
  • Actively share ideas, perspectives, knowledge, and lessons learned to contribute and support a best-in-class professional level of Third-Party Operation globally and to improve performance
  • Promote team development, foster teamwork, and build relationships within the Virtual Plant Team
  • Monitor and execute operational budgets for the assigned CMOs and ensure alignment with External Manufacturing's goals and objectives
  • Execute CMO specific strategies and processes
  • Support new product launches and innovation delivery through CMOs

The ideal candidate should have:

  • Bachelor/Master in Life Sciences, Engineering, additional competences in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration should be considered a plus
  • At least 8 years of combined experience in the Pharmaceutical Industry in the areas of Supply Chain, Operations, Quality Assurance, including Supplier Relationship Management and experience in a GMP environment

  • Knowledge and ability to apply basic scientific and regulatory principles to routine and non-routine quality and supply chain tasks
  • Ability to understand the values of team members, lead and support them appropriately
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Excellent communication in English language (writing and speaking)
  • Independently motivated with the ability to navigate and be successful in a fast‐paced work environment
  • Proficient SAP user
  • Computer literacy (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
