Model N India is looking for a Jr. Oracle DBA. We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Junior Oracle Core DBA to join our dynamic team. As a Junior DBA, you will be responsible for supporting and maintaining our Oracle database systems to ensure optimal performance, reliability, and security. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with senior DBAs and other IT professionals to learn and grow your skills in a collaborative environment.
Responsibilities
- Strong Oracle core DBA experience
- Strong oracle architecture knowledge
- Experience on oracle features - RAC, Data Guard, Compression, partitioning, analytical functions.
- Experience on User access reviews, security, and data encryption.
- Experience in Oracle SQL/PLSQL
- Experience with Enterprise Manager for monitoring and administering mission critical databases.
- Experience with database backup and recovery.
- Experience with database patching and upgrades.
- Experience in any Unix shell script, Perl script and Python.
- Knowledge on database and SQL performance tuning and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong Exposure to Multi-Tenant Databases.
- Strong Exposure to multi cloud environments - ie, AWS, OCI
- Knowledge on MySQL databases.
- Good to have knowledge on Oracle Golden Gate.
- Support to production and non-production databases.
- Work closely with Product Development teams and provide feedback to improve product quality.
- Develop administration automation and monitoring scripts as needed.
- Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures/documentation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
- 4-6 years of experience working as an Oracle Core DBA in a production environment.
- Proficiency in Oracle Database administration tasks such as installation, configuration, backup, recovery, and performance tuning.
- Strong understanding of SQL and PL/SQL programming languages.
- Experience with Oracle RAC, Data Guard, and Enterprise Manager.
- Familiarity with UNIX/Linux and Windows operating systems.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
