Your Role:
Are you passionate about solving complex technical challenges and enhancing customer experiences? Join our team as a DevOps & Support Engineer and become the key player in our customer success! In this dynamic role, you'll tackle and resolve technical issues, ensuring our customers' journeys are smooth and satisfying. You'll perform software and hardware installations, upgrades, and configurations for servers, networking equipment, and cloud resources, while also developing tools for both internal and external use. You'll manage support operations from, building strong customer relationships and providing prompt feedback. Collaborating closely with senior DevOps and Engineering team members, you'll continually learn new technologies and contribute to our continuous improvement.
Your day to day:
- Work schedule/shift: 3pm to midnight.
- Operations tasks related to supporting infrastructure for on-premises and cloud deployments.
- Problem solver, capable of identifying and resolving issues, being able to see the big picture.
- Eager and willing to learn new technologies and skills.
- Perform operational tasks including, but not limited to SW/HW installations, upgrades, and more.
- Configuration of servers, networking equipment, and cloud resources.
- Creation and integration of tools for internal and/or external consumption.
- Troubleshoot, design and deploy advanced L2 and L3 Networks.
- Track issues through to resolution.
- Prioritize and manage several open tasks at one time.
- Escalate issues to the next level, as needed.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers.
- Participate in training customers, as required.
- Document processes and update knowledge base.
- Work closely with senior members of the Support, Operations, DevOps and Engineering teams.
Must to have:
- 5+ years experience in administration, configuration, and tuning of Linux systems (Ubuntu/Debian and/or CentOS/RHEL).
- CCNA-level experience in Networking Administration.
- L2 and L3 network equipment configuration (switches, firewalls, etc.).
- Knowledge of storage technologies and protocols (RAID, NFS, SMB, iSCSI, FC).
- Fluent in English (spoken and written).
- Must live in commuting distance to Zadara office.
Nice to haves:
- Experience with cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Experience with VMware Administration.
- Experience with Data Center Administration.
- Hands-on experience in OpenStack (managing and troubleshooting).
- Experience with configuration management systems (Ansible, Chef, Puppet).
- Experience with iptables in Linux and network-level ACLs.
- Excellent team player.
