About the job:
Sitecore is looking for skilled Solr/Java experts to create a team that will be responsible for the provisioning, management, maintenance, monitoring and troubleshooting of Solr search instances used in the Sitecore Managed Cloud Platform.
Ideal candidates will have the following background:
• Previous experience with Apache Solr is a must
• Linux system administration experience is a must
• Experience in troubleshooting performance issues with Solr
• Cloud experience – ideally Microsoft Azure
• Understanding of Java JVM, JDK/JRE
• Ability to interpret java heap dumps and thread dumps
• Previous experience with setting up Apache Solr specific monitoring
• Outstanding problem solving and logical thinking skills
• Great communication skills in English
Experience in the following would be a plus:
• Experience in troubleshooting software performance & scalability issues
• Experience working with technologies such as Kubernetes is a plus
• Experience with Windows system administration
