Role summary

Responsible for delivering the infrastructure to provide customer facing systems and cloud services to Sophos customers. The includes the monitoring of the systems as part of a rotational 24X7, taking action to resolve issues and follow defined escalation paths. 

What you will do

  • Participate in a regular 24X7 shift rotation. 
  • Take part in root cause analysis and detection of issues. 
  • Monitor the Cloud Infrastructure Servicesas per defined standard operating procedures
  • Acknowledge alerts and triage the incident process. 
  • Apply first level resolution procedures as documented and follow documented escalation procedures for incidents. 
  • Act as a first point of contact for Tech Support, IT, Labs, MSG, Central, NSG and other internal product groups.
  • Ensure the incident management is carried in the standard operations timeline.  
  • Perform participation in active programs of Product Releases for XG, SEA, PMX, SWA

What you will bring

  • Experience working in systems administration with Linux and Windows.
  • Experience in IT Service Management tools such as ServiceNow, Jira.
  • Working knowledge of cloud-native monitoring platforms and alerting platforms like LogicMonitor, Grafana, Elasticsearch, LogzIO, OpsGenie, VictorOps, PagerDuty.
  • 1 to 2 year of hands-on experience using cloud compute, networking, storage, and database AWS services.
  • Ability to build serverless applications using CI/CD Pipeline.
  • Experience in infrastructure deployment and automation using IaC tools.
  • Basic knowledge on container management tools like Docker, K8s.
  • Understanding of OSI Layers & hands-on experience in troubleshooting network connectivity issues.
  • Troubleshooting, support, and problem management on ITIL basis
  • Knowledge of ITIL process – Incident Management, Problem Management, Change Management.
  • Basic knowledge of virtualization.
  • Experience providing user support and system troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge on scripting tool – Python/Bash/PowerShell.
  • Team player and out of the box thinking
