The Cloud Engineering Manager will lead the DevOps and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) teams, ensuring the reliability, scalability, and performance of our cloud infrastructure. This role involves a blend of managerial responsibilities, strategic planning, and hands-on technical work. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cloud infrastructure, DevOps practices, and SRE principles.
YOUR CHALLENGE:
- Develop and implement cloud infrastructure strategies aligned with business objectives.
- Oversee the design, deployment, and maintenance of scalable, reliable, and secure cloud infrastructure.
- Ensure the implementation of best practices in infrastructure as code, CI/CD, and SRE.
- Manage and optimize cloud costs while ensuring performance and scalability.
- Establish and monitor SLOs, SLIs, and SLAs to measure and improve service performance.
- Oversee incident management processes and ensure timely resolution of issues.
- Work closely with development and architecture teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment of applications.
- Collaborate with security teams to ensure compliance with security policies and practices.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders, providing regular updates on infrastructure status, challenges, and achievements.

TO DO IT, YOU WILL NEED:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in cloud engineering, DevOps, or SRE roles.
- 3+ years of experience in a leadership or managerial role.
- Proven experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Hands-on experience with infrastructure as code tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation, CDK).
- Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions).
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, Data Dog, Sumo Logic).
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- In-depth knowledge of SRE practices and principles.
- Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
Preferred Qualifications
- Certifications in cloud platforms (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect).
- Experience with microservices architecture.
- Knowledge of security best practices in cloud environments.
