The role:
Join on an exciting journey as a Cloud Engineer, where you'll play a crucial role in building and managing our cloud infrastructure to be scalable, flexible, and easily maintainable. Your central responsibilities include crafting and overseeing our infrastructure, servers/services, storage solutions, and implementing security best practices within our dynamic ecosystem. Collaborating closely with a talented team of engineers and stakeholders, your mission is to automate deployment processes and ensure seamless operations.
Your experienced team includes three Software Engineers, a Head of Enterprise Architecture and a Technical Lead. Reporting directly to our Director of IT, you'll thrive in a supportive environment where collaboration, creativity, and continuous learning are encouraged.
In this position, you will have the opportunity to:
- Design, develop, and deploy secure cloud infrastructure across leading platforms like AWS and others.
- Monitor cloud resources to maintain availability and scalability standards.
- Optimize cloud resource allocation for enhanced efficiency and performance.
- Address and tackle infrastructure-related issues with finesse.
- Coordinate and execute deployments, migrations, and upgrades within the cloud environments to meet Vaadin’s needs.
- Propose and implement operational enhancements for streamlined cloud and infrastructure processes.
What you bring to the table:
- A Bachelor's or Master’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
- Proven expertise in Linux and AWS cloud technologies, with familiarity in other hosted service provider environments.
- Hands-on experience in cloud computing, networking, security protocols, storage systems, and databases, especially within container platforms (such as Docker, Kubernetes).
- Experience in DevOps and CI/CD practices.
- Familiarity with AWS as the primary cloud platform, with knowledge of Azure and Google Cloud considered a plus.
- Practical knowledge of security standards.
- Proficiency in English for seamless communication within our company.
Where would you like to work from?
