This role is remote in Poland. We are only able to accept applications for those based in Poland and have sponsorship to live and work in Poland. 

 

What you’ll do at Jamf:

As a Cloud Engineer II (Systems Development Engineer) at Jamf, you will play a crucial role in automating and developing our backend infrastructure, that powers Jamf Cloud, which our customers rely on for managing Apple devices within their organisations. 

Additionally, you will be responsible for providing internal automation, used by our Software Engineers to build and deploy Jamf products in the Cloud. 

A strong grasp of Cloud technologies, Linux fundamentals, proficiency in programming concepts and languages, and experience with infrastructure as code are essential. You’ll be an active participant in agile delivery teams and collaborate closely with colleagues to drive impactful projects forward at Jamf.

What you can expect to do in this role: 

  • Automate, deploy, and maintain highly secure production environments by identifying and applying automation, tools, and techniques such as Infrastructure as Code, Configuration as Code, Serverless, and Containerization. 
  • Develop custom tools and automation solutions that streamline internal workflows for engineers, ensuring high availability and resilience of Jamf Cloud products. 
  • Assist in evaluating, planning, configuring, and implementing new software, including custom tools and internal automation. Create robust documentation along the way. 
  • Build and maintain production environments, including assisting with disaster recovery. 
  • Track, follow, and escalate events in a timely manner, and automate communication processes where possible. 
  • Participate in agile workflows such as code reviews, velocity estimation, and planning, providing input to help the team succeed.  
  • Collaborate across teams, engaging with Product Owners, Cloud, and Development teams to ensure smooth delivery and code quality. 
  • Build an understanding of Jamf software and workflows that make Jamf customers successful and apply that knowledge to ensuring the quality of each release. 

 

What we are looking for: 

We value a combination of relevant experience and education. If you feel you have some of the skills listed below, we want to hear from you! 

  • Required: Hands-on experience with AWS services, like EC2, RDS, Lambda, API Gateway, Step Functions, DynamoDB. Bonus points if you’ve worked with other cloud providers! 
  • Linux troubleshooting experience is highly desirable. 
  • Proficient in a modern programming language (Python preferred) and familiar with shell scripting. Bonus points if you’ve developed cloud applications! 
  • Quality-focused: Experience developing enterprise-grade software and understanding testing and quality assurance processes is a big plus. 
  • Experience with infrastructure as code software (e.g. CloudFormation, Terraform)  
  • You know your way around source control systems like Git. 
  • Experience with industry standard configuration management and deployment tools (e.g., Ansible, Chef, Puppet). (Nice to have). 
  • Familiarity with containerization concepts and Kubernetes is nice to have. 
  • Experience with CI/CD Tools and Techniques (CodePipeline, Jenkins, Github Actions or other).
