We have an immediate opportunity for a Cloud Engineer to join our team in a long-term contract role. In this role, you'll support the development and optimization of systems like Terraform Enterprise, Vault Enterprise, GKE, and other cloud platforms that are essential for smooth developer onboarding and operations. This is an excellent opportunity to gain experience in a large enterprise setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the engineering of backend solutions aimed at improving developer onboarding and managing cloud workloads.
  • Diagnose and resolve issues with GCP services, Kubernetes deployments, Terraform setups, and other cloud-based technologies.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to escalate and address complex technical challenges efficiently.
  • Communicate clearly with clients, offering updates on problem resolution and ensuring a positive experience.
  • Create and maintain documentation for troubleshooting procedures, solutions, and best practices to support internal knowledge sharing and client training.
  • Actively seek ways to enhance processes, tools, and documentation.

Requirements

  • 1-2 years of hands-on professional experience in a Cloud, Infrastructure, or Systems Engineering role.
  • Proficiency with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services.
  • Experience working with container orchestration platforms (e.g., Kubernetes, Docker Swarm).
  • Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tools and practices (e.g., Terraform, Ansible).
  • Strong problem-solving skills with great attention to detail.
  • Outstanding communication and customer service skills, with proficiency in English.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

Nice-to-Have

  • Google Cloud Platform (GCP) certification (e.g., Google Certified Professional Cloud Architect, Google Certified Professional Cloud Developer).
  • Experience with monitoring and logging tools commonly used in cloud environments (e.g., Stackdriver, Prometheus, ELK Stack).
  • Knowledge of networking concepts and protocols relevant to cloud computing (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/S).
