Come Join our Team! The Clinical Supervisor of Behavioral Health will have responsibility for the supervision of clinical casework and programmatic operations for Waterloo Counseling Center, perform quality assurance duties related to chart fidelity and grant compliance, and provide therapy to clients. The Clinical Supervisor will provide leadership to clinical staff, identify and encourage opportunities for professional growth and leadership, work with the Director of Behavioral Health Services to recognize and document client need in relation to new programming, and help implement new programming.
Core Functions:
Supervisory/Administrative- 50%
- Provide clinical guidance and facilitate collaborative thinking among clinical staff
- Provide clinical supervision of behavioral health clinicians
- Inspire and motivate clinical staff to meet performance criteria including hours of service per week, client outcomes, and others as identified and instituted
- Work with clinical staff to ensure they are securing CEUs, maintaining licensure renewal, and making progress toward being credentialed as providers on insurance panels
- Develop strategies to maximize insurance billings and expedite credentialing of therapists; support therapists and the Intake and Billing Specialist with issues around billing and credentialing
- Seek candidates, interview and hire staff therapists
- Prepare performance evaluations for clinicians
- Advise on and help support the intake process
Quality Assurance- 25%
- Perform Quality Management Procedures in accordance with policies and procedures and funders
- Ensure accuracy of data
- Attend meetings as needed to provide input regarding QM and programs
- Review and update the policies and procedures
- Assist with reporting; prepare and submit program reports to funders
Clinical/Client Service- 25%
- Deliver individual, group, family, and couples counseling to clients
- Keep client files in accordance with policies and procedures and funders
Requirements
Your previous work, life, and education must include:
• Master or Doctorate degree with licensure as an LPC or LCSW in the state of Texas required
• Minimum two years of experience as a licensed clinician including supervisory experience of licensed therapists or master’s level students in an agency setting required
• Knowledge and experience regarding appropriate procedures regarding ethics, crisis situations, client files and paperwork requirements, reporting abuse and neglect, and handling of subpoenas required
• Ability to maintain clear professional and personal boundaries required
• Ability to self-direct and manage multiple responsibilities required
Your previous work, life, and education ideally include:
• Knowledge and experience working with gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, gender non-conforming clients and those affected by HIV/AIDS preferred
