The Clinical Research Assistant supports the various clinical research departments with the conduct of clinical trial activities.
Essential Duties:
- Understands basis principles of clinical research and clinical trial protocols
- Supports feasibility, budgeting, contracting and invoicing procedures
- Partners with clinical research screeners and clinical research coordinators on scheduling patients for appointments including consents, scans, procedures and study visits
- Supports clinical research coordinators with preparation and conduct of clinical trial visits
- Partners with regulatory team on ensuring compliance with documentation and processes
- Obtains, processes, ships and or uploads patient samples and scans from various external partners according to clinical trial protocols
- Receives and maintains study supply inventory, this includes lab kits and other ancillary supplies, through end of study for return or destruction
- Assists in monthly batch shipments of samples to sponsor labs
- Performs data entry of clinical trial related data into various tracking systems
- Supports data management activities by answering queries from multiple sponsor portals
- Assist with front office duties, such as greeting guests, answering phones, managing shipping vendors, ordering/inventory of office supplies
- Other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, Outlook, and other Computer Use
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to multitask
- Dependability
Education and/or Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in a biological sciences discipline is preferred. In lieu of degree, a combination of high-school diploma and relevant medical or research experience will be considered.
