Clinical Lead - Digital Healthcare (Maternity Cover)

London, United Kingdom

This is a rare opportunity to join one of the UK's fastest-growing digital health companies and build the future of healthcare.

We are looking for a Clinical Lead, on a maternity cover basis, who is ambitious, driven and up for the challenge of scaling and driving exponential growth across our clinical service, as well as a best in class patient experience. Depending on your performance and our ongoing business requirements, there is plenty of scope within the business for this role to evolve into a permanent role within the organisation.

You’ll grow, develop and lead our in-house, multidisciplinary clinical team that includes doctors, pharmacists, dieticians and health coaches, ensuring the delivery of class-leading consultations and prescription services. In addition, you will work closely with other teams, such as digital product, regulatory, pharmacy, commercial and marketing, to deliver our clinical growth strategies.

Expected Start Date: November 2024 (including a 3 month handover period)

Expected End Date: February 2026

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Clinical Leadership: Provide leadership and direction to the clinical team; you will manage the clinical team day to day, and be their first point of contact for clinical or operational queries.

  • Clinical Delivery: Ensure the delivery of high-quality, evidence-based medical care across the clinical categories. Implement and measure the quality of MANUAL’s clinical service by tracking individual and category performance metrics with the aim of continual improvement of the service, and reporting progress to key stakeholders

  • Clinical Governance: Work alongside the Quality and Governance Lead on governance (audit, risk assessments, SEA discussions, safeguarding, complaints and escalations) and oversee Quality Assurance processes

  • Clinical Care Pathways: Own all the clinical pathways including Standard Operating Procedures and ways of working. Design and execute new care pathways as per category needs.

  • Support the recruitment and upskilling of all healthcare professionals, with a clear programme of training, development goals and feedback. Build schedules for continued professional development of team members

  • Help communicate the clinical service success to the wider company and advocate for clinical service priorities with other teams (e.g. product, data etc.)

  • Support new category launches by offering clinical perspective and participate in product development

  • Proactive problem-solving and innovation with the aim of contributing towards service and clinical improvement
