Clinical Escalations Provider - MD/DO (Remote)

Position Overview: You Health Medical Groups is seeking a Clinical Escalations Provider to provide health care services to patients via the Hims and Hers telehealth platform. 

The Clinical Escalations Team is responsible for carrying out high quality clinical care in all patient interactions and will serve as an integral part of upholding patient safety. This role will provide appropriate guidance to patients regarding their treatment and ongoing care plan. 

The Clinical Escalations Provider will be primarily responsible for managing patient escalations, including those related to side effects from prescribed medications on the Hims and Hers Platform. The Clinical Escalations Provider will also support in the de-escalation of patient related concerns as it arises, while ensuring exceptional patient care and follow-up.  

This role reports directly to the You Health Associate Director of Clinical Safety and participates as an active team member focused on clinical quality, patient experience, and performance improvement.  

Responsibilities: 

Deliver high-quality clinical care for a range of patient reported concerns and side effects 

• Manage patient escalations and ensure appropriate responses and follow-up 
• Comply with safety legislation and healthcare industry practices 
• Execute to refine processes in the pursuit of high quality patient care 
• Act upon time sensitive items related to patient care, including but not limited to, requests by the Quality and Clinical teams. 
• Participate in root cause analysis to maintain patient safety, risk mitigation and enhance quality care which may include cross-functional collaboration with teams within You Health Medical Groups and Hims & Hers.
• Conduct ongoing patient care duties, special projects as needed, and additional duties as assigned by their manager and/or clinical leadership.
• Adhere to the Hims and Hers platform guidelines and policies and complete all required training
• Maintain competence through Continuing Medical Education/Continuing Education
• Maintain applicable Board Certification 

Qualifications:

• Board-certified MD/DO 
• 1+ years of previous telehealth experience
• 1+ years of experience in clinical practice, exclusive of orientation/training
• Extremely strong clinical judgment and the ability to respond rapidly in escalated scenarios, and provide empathetic patient care along the way. 
• Excellent written and verbal communication with an emphasis on clarity and compassion.
• Skilled at using online tools and technology to deliver care and communicate with patients. 
• Resilient and flexible with the ability to thrive and adapt in a fast-paced, high-growth, and rapidly changing environment.
• Multiple state licenses (Minimum of 10 licenses, 20+ a strong plus).
