The Role

As a Client Advisor, you are dedicated to delivering a bespoke client experience in the salon assisting clients and sharing information about property within the salon. You also will be responsible for achieving sales targets defined by the management and proactively developing a portfolio of local and international clients. This role will also focus on logistics and ensure that property movement is safe, timely, and accurately tracked within the salon for the entire sale process. Supporting daily  salon Operations to ensure the day to day duties are fulfilled. You will be an active member in the daily operations of the salon and support the supervisor in complying with all companies’ policies and procedures.

Responsibilities: 

Sales:

  • Deliver a bespoke client experience in the salon assisting clients and sharing high level information about property within the salon
  • Achieve and/or exceed the monthly and annual individual sales targets while contributing to the salon ‘s overall goal
  • Ensure an outstanding and consistent client experience by providing customized advisory according to the client needs, solid expertise and knowledge across the different categories and ultra-luxury hospitality services
  • Cultivate new and existing client relationships through exceptional client experience, appropriate follow-up, and any specific CRM initiatives
  • Consistently and accurately capture client data for retention purposes, loyalty and long- term relationship building
  • Partner with the Supervisor and the local marketing team to develop a plan to support events
  • Assist the Supervisor in providing excellence in daily operations: floor management, visual merchandising, inventory control, opening & closing duties
  • Demonstrate a thorough understanding of security and compliance policies, and provide support to other Client Advisors when needed
  • Uphold all Post-Sale requirements for sales in the salon (Buyer agreements, Client ID, new client account setup) 

 

Logistics: 

  • Maintain excellent communication and interpersonal skills with all organizational levels and outside vendors. 
  • Demonstrate sensitivity and discretion in handling confidential information. 
  • Condition, receive and tag incoming property 
  • Knowledge of handling, installation and packing best practices. 
  • Record and/or verify the condition and accuracy of important descriptive information, such as piece count, of incoming property 
  • Maintain the integrity of the Operational procedures and comply with Risk Management/ Security Department requirements 
  • Coordinate with HK Logistics and Shipping team to schedule installations/de-installations, property release. Inclusive of Collections counter support. 
  • Work closely with Specialist departments and in-house sales team to facilitate a best in-class client experience. 
  • Work with Inventory Management team to conduct physical inventories and regular stock checks  
  • Reconcile stock checks, physical inventory and inventory management databases 
  • Verify and ensure accuracy on all necessary paperwork and communicating with salon Manager and appropriate colleagues for any discrepancies. 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree 
  • Minimum 2 years of work experience in galleries, hospitalities or luxury industries
  • At ease in engaging, networking and selling to HNWI and UHNWI: good understanding of their consumer behaviour
  • Previous experience in a client service, luxury, or hospitality, driven industry 
  • General knowledge of art history and art market preferred  
  • Ability to create premier client experience in any environment 
  • Calm demeanor with an ability to multitask in a high traffic environment 
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a pleasant client service-oriented attitude 
  • Proven experience employing problem solving skills when dealing with internal and external clients 
  • Proficiency with MS Word, Outlook and Excel, and general familiarity with database management (knowledge of Sotheby’s systems a plus) 
  • Discreet, dependable and mature 
  • Team player with a positive working rapport with colleagues 
  • Comfortable navigating an iPad 
  • Must be available to work week-ends and evenings as necessary
  • Fluent in Cantonese and Mandarin, very good proficiency in English, any other language skills a plus
