The Client Platform Engineer will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining the endpoint management infrastructure focusing on automation and user experience, where you can be creative and pragmatic at the same time.
This position requires interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to work as part of a team or independently under minimal direction. Interfacing with teams outside of technical departments to gather requirements, collaborate, and incorporate IT infrastructure best practices will be a key component of this role.
What You’ll Do:
- Creating and maintaining the architecture, design, and installation process for endpoint operating systems and applications in compliance with the IT deployment model
- Cleverly automating and mechanizing solutions that will offload repetitive tasks leveraging our focus on more important duties
- Empowering our IT Support team with the appropriate tools and knowledge to perform the most common activities on their domains, fully independently while also acting as a point of escalation and third-line support for endpoints
- Keeping a good level of standardization guidelines and best practices in order to not only organize and standardize our backend but to make sure the environment will retain its current level of manageability, ensuring the importance of recurrent house-keeping activities
- Taking the initiative to fix issues related to endpoint management solutions before being assigned them
- Delivering sound solutions that are well-researched
- Participating in on-call rotation
What We’re Looking For:
- 3+ years of experience administering Windows 10 with Microsoft Intune and Windows servers
- 2+ years of experience in providing solutions/support on desktop virtualization
- 1+ years experience in configuration automation tools such as; Chef, Puppet, etc
- Solid networking knowledge, such as OSI network layers, TCP/IP, etc
- Able to create and maintain computer scripts written in Powershell, Batch, or Bash script
- Managed and completed several projects from planning to completion that are related to managing Windows 10/11 and Windows servers
- Willingness to learn and be part of a team that also manages macOS fleets using Jamf Pro
- Understanding of Cloud technologies and experience in working with AWS, Azure, or GCP
- Industry-recognized certifications like MCSE, Azure Administrator Associate, Windows Servers Hybrid Administrator Associate, Azure Virtual Desktop Speciality, etc are a big plus
- Ability to quickly learn new or unfamiliar technology and products using documentation and internet resources
