JOB TITLE: Cleaning operative
LOCATION: The Mander Centre
REPORTING TO: Cleaning and Security Contracts Manger
RATE OF PAY: £11.66 Per Hour (Paid Monthly)
SHIFT PATTERN: Tuesday - Saturday, 28 hours per week
OVERVIEW OF JOB DESCRIPTION
ABM at the Mander Centre are looking for a hardworking and reliable person to join the cleaning team. The Cleaning team are responsible for providing customers with a Centre that is clean and well maintained, providing a clean and welcoming environment. The person will be able to provide great customer service aswell as interact with the team already established onsite.
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
· To ensure that all cleaning duties carried out are in accordance with ABM and Mander Centre health and safety guidelines.
· To complete cleaning duties to a quality that meets the expectation of ABM and Mander Centre.
· To be clean and smart in appearance whilst always wearing the provided uniform, representing ABM and the Mander Centre to the fullest.
· To provide great customer service and look to support colleagues where opportunity arises.
· To work alongside the Cleaning Co-ordinator and complete tasks as instructed via them.
· To complete ad-hoc duties as directed and when required.
· To represent the Mander Centre and ABM to the required high standards.
· To provide cover for staff holidays, training and sickness.
· To work as part of the Basement team to aid with the ongoing recycling and waste management.
· To assist the Cleaning Co-ordinator with the periodic cleans including but not limited to jet washing, high level glazing cleans, car park deep cleans, Escalator deep cleans.
Person Specification:
Essential –
Strong communication skills both written and verbal.
Ability to work independently and to your own initiative.
To be flexible towards working hours.
Smart and clean appearance
Clean driving license due to having to drive the site tractor on the public highway.
Desirable –
Experience of working within the cleaning industry would be advantageous.
