JOB TITLE: Cleaning Operative

LOCATION: City Gate, St James' Blvd, Newcastle upon Tyne NE1 4JE

SHIFT PATTERN: Monday to Friday 1800-2030

PAY RATE: £12.5 per hour

As a Cleaning Operative at ABM UK, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene of various sites, ensuring a high standard of service that meets our clients' unique needs.

In this role, you will join a dedicated team of professionals who have a deep understanding of the facility services industry. You will work closely with clients, listening to their challenges and tailoring your approach to deliver the best possible facility solutions. Responsibilities

• Perform cleaning tasks including dusting, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and sanitizing surfaces at assigned locations
• Follow established procedures and schedules to ensure that all cleaning duties are completed efficiently and effectively
• Adhere to health and safety regulations, using appropriate cleaning products and equipment
• Report any maintenance or repair issues to the appropriate personnel
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and presentation throughout the assigned area
• Assist with stock control, ensuring that cleaning supplies are well-stocked and readily available
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to ensure a smooth workflow and timely completion of tasks

Requirements

• Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not essential
• Basic knowledge of cleaning techniques and procedures
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to work autonomously
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
• Physical stamina to handle the demands of the job, including lifting and moving heavy objects
• Flexibility to work during different shifts, including evenings and weekends
