JOB TITLE: Cleaning and Landscape Operative
LOCATION: Inverness Retail Park
PAY RATE: £12.00per hour
SHIFT PATTERN: 12 Hours 4 on 4 off
REPORTING TO: Line Manager
ROLE OVERVIEW AND PURPOSE
Your role will be to deliver cleaning & light landscaping services to client facilities in and around the retail park to a high standard. Pressure washing, weeding, litter picking sweeping waste management, spot cleaning glass doors/windows, clean all stainless-steel fixtures and barriers/glass door panels, planting of flowers, cutting of grass, pruning of trees.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
· General cleaning and some landscape duties on an external environment, road, and car parks
· Your duties will involve being a helpful point of contact for customers who need assistance
· Being watchful for health and safety issues and to report them to the management team
· Ensuring that the cleaning/maintenance checks & site-specific compliances are adhered to
· Keeping the site safe, clean & welcoming towards our client & customers
· Being an excellent ABM brand ambassador
· Plants new flowers, trees, grass, hedges, and bushes.
· Maintains gardens and lawns, including mowing, trimming, pruning, raking, and weeding.
· Waters plants and lawns and adds fertilizer as needed.
· Removes snow, ice, and leaves as needed.
· Builds and renovates stone pathways, patios, and ledges.
· Loads and unloads equipment and tools into work vehicles.
· Drives work vehicles around sites
· Adheres to all RAMS and H&S guidelines
Requirements
Person Specification:
· Excellent attention to detail within cleaning/maintenance responsibilities.
· Cleaner/Maintenance service experience within the retail or similar environment (desirable).
· Be able to work as part of a team.
· Must be able to work on own initiative with a proactive and flexible attitude.
· Must be able to follow instructions.
· The ability to be flexible to meet the needs and demands of the role & the business.
· Must hold a valid driving licence
HEALTH & SAFETY RESPONSIBILITIES
· Follow Group and company policies and procedures at all times;
· Report any apparent deficiencies in systems of work or equipment provided that may result in failure of service delivery or risk to health and safety or the environment;
· Use all work equipment and personal PPE properly and in accordance with training received;
· Report any issues or training needs to your Line manager and /or via your divisional incident reporting system;
