Lime is hiring a Claims Associate to join our Claims team! You will report to the Claims Manager in this role. You will have expertise in analyzing BI/PD claims as well as a strong liability background.
The Claims Associate at Lime Micromobility is crucial in our Claims department. You will ensure a swift, empathetic, and thorough response to claims filed by our users and third parties. This position involves managing the end-to-end claims process, from initial report to
resolution, while upholding the highest customer service standards and compliance with local regulations.
What You'll Do:
- Conduct thorough investigations into accidents and property damage claims involving Lime vehicles to ensure prompt and fair resolutions.
- Deliver empathetic and efficient communication to claimants, guiding them through the process with clear information on procedures, documentation, and status updates via email and phone.
- Leverage our claims management system for tracking, resolving claims, and using data analytics to inform decisions, ensuring accuracy and comprehensive records.
- Assess claim validity and liability, authorize appropriate compensation or denial in alignment with company policies and legal guidelines, and negotiate settlements when necessary.
- Develop and implement strategies to reduce claims frequency and severity.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams (Trust & Safety, Legal, Analytics, etc.) and external partners (Insurers, TPAs) to streamline the claims process and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
- Determine reimbursement of medical, wage loss, and other benefits, which may include negotiating a settlement of injury claims.
About You:
- 3+ Years of relevant experience, a proven track record in property & casualty claims handling, with a deep understanding of the US market and international exposure.
- Knowledge of property damage, physical injuries, medical terminology, treatment protocols, and wage loss claims process.
- Experience working with third-party administrators and internal and external legal teams in a high-volume, dynamic environment.
- Ability to work across several time zones, with proficiency in English.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented, capable of precisely managing multiple claims and meeting tight deadlines.
Preferred Experience:
- Professional Certified Claims Professional (CCP)
- Familiarity with the legal and regulatory landscape affecting micromobility, including insurance laws, personal injury claims, and data privacy regulations relevant to customer and third-party claims.
The anticipated salary range for this position is $71,000 - $80,000. Annual performance bonus, equity and benefits may be provided as part of the compensation package, depending on the position offered. Not all candidates will be eligible for the upper end of the salary range. Exact salary will ultimately depend on multiple factors, which may include the candidate’s location of residence, the successful candidate's skills, experience and other qualifications. In addition to base salary, some roles may be eligible for a variable performance-bonus based on a combination of company performance, employee performance, and management discretion.
