Civil Engineer

Player Design, Inc is seeking a Civil Engineer, to be based in their Portland, Maine office or remote in the Eastern US.
Requirements of the Civil Engineer:
- 5+ years of experience as a Civil Engineer, 7-10 years preferred.
- EIT required, PE preferred.
- Working knowledge of AutoCad, Solidworks, or similar software
- Design knowledge of industrial foundations including equipment support foundations
- Working knowledge of steel embeds, anchoring systems for structural steel, and best practices around machinery anchors
- General civil systems working knowledge preferred including:
- Roadworks required on site planning
- Underground water systems for industrial use including process water, fire water systems, and wastewater piping to discharge points
- General site planning and overall understanding of traffic flows and related issues around a working industrial plant
- Design expertise in any environmental planning for wastewater and runoff is preferred.
- Travel to client sites (potential of up to 16 weeks/year)
- Travel to Portland, ME monthly
Benefits of the Job:
- Pay in the range of: $125,000 - $150,000

Responsibilities of the Civil Engineer:
- Designing of industrial foundations including rebar specifications, steel embeds, and overall direct design
- Direct drawings of foundations, roadworks, etc.
- Vendor specifications for tender packages
- Vendor and budget management
Player Design, Inc is a leader in solid fuel energy systems and industrial drying systems. This position reports to the Director of Engineering and will be responsible for the design of industrial foundations and vendor management on client projects.
