AnaVation is seeking a Cisco Network Engineer with an expertise in network design, architecture, and
operations to work as part of a collaborative, multi-discipline team in support of the US Government providing
expertise in the field of network engineering.
The candidate’s responsibilities include:
- Designing and implementing Local and Wide Area Networks (LAN/WAN)
- Conveying technical designs, ideas and results to non-technical audiences and providing briefings to
government personnel.
This position requires an active Top Secret clearance and the ability to obtain SCI accesses with a CI
polygraph.
This position requires full-time on-site presence in Quantico, VA, with occasional local travel to nearby
facilities within a 10-30 mile radius. A vehicle will be provided for most local travel.
Required Qualifications
- Knowledge of Cisco Routing and Switching, and network architecture planning.
- Knowledge of remote administration and secure Virtual Private Networking.
- Understand commercial encryption standards and their application in IP networking.
- Knowledge of VPN technologies, OSPF, EIGRP, BGP, IP Multicasting.
- Strong cybersecurity hardening experience in a federal setting. · Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Excellent analysis and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as within small and large groups.
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent relevant experience
Desired Qualifications
- ·Certifications such as CCNA or CCNP
- 8 Years of network engineering experience in a federal setting
- Ability to navigate and configure Linux operating systems.
- Understanding of wired data transport mediums to include Category 5e/6 and fiber optics.
- Experience with Cisco equipment and the implementation of STIGS, ACL's, VPN's, OSPF, VRF, Cisco
- ASA and Firepower firewalls, WLC's, Wireless AP's.
- Experience with TACLANES, Cisco ISE, DNA Center, RSA SecurID.
- AWS cloud experience
- Experience with Cisco Unified Call Manager (CUCM)
