Salary: $151,000 - $175,000

POSITION SUMMARY

Feeding South Florida is seeking a strategic, innovative, and purpose-driven leader to serve as its Chief Programs Officer (CPO). Reporting to the President and CEO and serving as a member of the Executive Team, the CPO’s primary responsibility is to lead FSF’s network and direct-service programs. The Chief Programs Officer will lead, facilitate, and enable transformational change within our programs and services team. The position has primary responsibility for building, developing, and enhancing our programs and services to provide resources to people experiencing food insecurity. The ideal candidate is a big-picture, out-of-the-box thinker who thrives in a dynamic and fast-paced environment with the ability to balance multiple competing stakeholder priorities while fostering and supporting a culture of service.

 

RELATIONSHIP

This position is a member of the executive leadership team, that reports to the President and CEO, with multiple direct reports who collectively supervise a large, diverse team. The CPO liaises with a broad group of external stakeholders including nonprofits, government entities, interested funders, and many others. Internally, the CPO engages thoughtfully and strategically with the Executive Team.

 

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

Strategic Leadership

  • Collaborate with leadership in developing and executing a strategy for current and future program evaluation and lead efforts to ensure impact, efficiencies, sustainability, and cost-effectiveness.

  • Oversee the development and ongoing support of FSF’s Partner Network, including partnership terms, benefits, and process, and corresponding gatherings, communications, and functions.

  • Serve as a thought leader able to share trends internally and externally on community development and community investment strategies, promising programs, and solutions.

  • Ensure new and existing programs are conducted within an environment of financial viability and regulatory compliance; ensuring families come first.

  • Enrich programming through partnerships and develop on-going relationships with primary partners.

  • Collaborate with the President and CEO and the Finance department to prepare departmental budget, cost/benefit analysis of programming, and forecasting future costs of innovation work.

 Administrative Leadership

  • Oversee the programs and services departments: Network Services including Children’s Programs, Senior Programs, Distribution, Compliance & Capacity, and Client Service including Health & Wellness and Empowerment Programs.

  • Coach, manage, evaluate, and develop direct reports and department leadership to ensure a high-performing team dedicated to service and meeting deliverables in a timely and professional manner, in accordance with the organization’s strategic goals.

  • Facilitate collaboration between internal teams to align funding, resources, and capacity to serve the community holistically and effectively.

  • Participate in organization budget planning and execution process, ensuring stewardship values are accounted for when meeting budgetary requirements.

  • Responsible for the accurate collection and reporting of all program activities and deliverables including the preparation of reports for grants, government contracts, and other stakeholder requests.

  • Establish, track, and report on key performance indicators to measure program success, quality of services, and outcomes for new programs.

  • Ensure that processes, procedures, and assignments of responsibilities meet team goals.

  • Ensure all organizational activities and operations are carried out in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.

  • Actively supports the organization’s values, goals, and objectives by modeling the way, getting to yes, and working collaboratively to ensure “service above all else” is a daily lived value.

  • Executes other responsibilities as assigned by the President and CEO.
