Position Summary: We are searching for a Chief of Staff for the CFO of Nielsen to work on the highest impact projects, initiatives and workstreams across the Company. You will play a pivotal role in supporting the CFO in overseeing and monitoring key projects, ensuring efficient communication, and contributing to strategic decision-making. You will  act as a key liaison between the CFO and various departments, fostering collaboration and maintaining a cohesive work environment. The CFO has a strong track record in transformation and a passion for people & career development.

Responsibilities:

  • Spearhead and/or support key projects in partnership with our CFO in collaboration with key Finance and Transformation leaders
  • Prepare & collaborate on Company-wide presentations and monthly meetings Lead preparation / content creation for internal and external operating reviews
  • Collaborate and manage relationships with key stakeholders across the Nielsen ecosystem (Nielsen Executive Committee, Finance and Transformation team, Business Unit Leaders, Lender / Banker community, Private equity sponsors)
  • Act as the central point of contact between the CFO and team members, facilitating effective communication and coordination across different functions
  • Drive continuous improvement in Finance functions (e.g., FP&A, Tax, Treasury, Controllership, etc) through identification of opportunities across people, processes and technology
  • Support on ad-hoc financial analysis, including financial modeling (forecasting, reporting, cash flow / liquidity modeling) and analytical requests

Qualifications:

  • 5 - 8 years of total experience and Bachelor's degree required
  • Experience in corporate finance 
  • Strong communication skills, including the ability to communicate with an executive audience and ability to develop constructive relationships with colleagues across the organization 
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple work streams and priorities 
  • Sound fundamentals on financial knowledge, analytical ability and sound understanding of the media ecosystem including some understanding of Nielsen’s products and services
  • Comfort with spreadsheet tools (Excel, Google Sheets) is required; comfort with SAP environments is a plus
  • Strong modeling and analytical skills with the ability to tease apart information from data to help inform decision making
  • Excellent slide/chart building skills (powerpoint and/or Google slides)
  • Growth mindset and ability to lead through change

Preferred:

  • Master’s degree or MBA
  • Prior experience in Investment Banking and/or Strategy Consulting & Private Equity

A reasonable estimate of salary range for a new employee to be offered this role would be between $100,000 - $300,000, which would be adjusted based on each employee's geographic location. The position of each employee within a compensation range at Nielsen is dependent on several individual circumstances, such as experience, training, certifications, and other business requirements/needs.
