Bay Road Insurance Partners is seeking a Chief of Staff to partner directly with the CEO to reach our goal of growing to $20 million of revenue in five years. This individual will thrive in an entrepreneurial, fast-paced environment and can execute on projects both independently and alongside teammates.

As CoS at Bay Road, you will be part of the Brydon Group’s Chief of Staff network – with access to peers, tools, resources and ongoing professional development. Core Responsibilities

1.      Operational excellence

  • Partner with sales & customer service leaders to identify areas for improvement, implement best practices and optimize processes to drive organic growth and margin improvement
  • Manage key software and systems (alongside external partners) including CRM, AMS, phone systems and other tools
  • Establish KPIs, dashboards and a consistent reporting cadence to provide regular updates & insights to the CEO and other key stakeholders

2.      M&A transaction support

  • Lead the execution of M&A transactions, working alongside internal teams and external advisors
  • Evaluate potential acquisition targets, conduct due diligence and develop post-acquisition integration & growth plans
  • Support investment committee process (e.g. documents, meetings, etc.)
  • Coordinate with our private equity partners and legal, accounting & tax advisors throughout the transaction process

3.      M&A integration execution

  • Manage and execute on the post-acquisition integration “playbook” as part of our value creation plan
  • Gain exposure to multiple functional areas including finance, HR, technology, sales and customer service
  • Measure integration KPIs to ensure we realize the expected value and continually improve our integration capabilities

4.      Strategic projects

  • Lead high priority projects that drive organic revenue growth and/or margin expansion

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of work experience in consulting, private equity and/or a PE or VC-backed high growth company
  • Prior financial, insurance & business services or M&A roll-up experience preferred
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to execute on strategic plans
  • Proven track record of optimizing processes, implementing best practices and building trust with cross-functional teams
  • High level of organizational skills with the ability to ruthlessly prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Thrive in a fast-faced and evolving high growth environment

Location:

  • The preference is for this role to be located on-site in Miami, FL (not in Washington, DC)
  • Must be able to travel up to 50% of the time

  • Brydon Chiefs of Staff typically spend a minimum of 2 years at a portfolio company, after which time they may decide to pursue a different role at that company, or a role at a different portfolio company, or apply to our next CEO-in-Residence cohort
