Bloomlife is seeking an accomplished VP/Chief Medical Officer to aid the company in defining the future of maternal care delivery. You’ll be working at the forefront of the women’s health revolution tackling the maternal health crisis. You will be the voice of the healthcare community and our voice to the healthcare community. You will oversee development of our clinical operations and work closely with commercial and R&D teams to advance evidence based culturally competent care for all women.
You will be part of Bloomlife’s executive leadership team, report directly to the CEO, and have significant input on the company’s most important decisions. This is a role for someone who lives for challenging the status quo, understands healthcare has antibodies to disruption, and is energized by engaging and collaborating with stakeholders to create systems level change.
Responsibilities
Strategy and Leadership
- Provide strategic direction for the development and implementation of products and services based on a realistic view on the complexity of healthcare change and an eye towards the future.
- Collaborate with the executive team to evaluate growth opportunities and develop long-term business strategies and operational plans to scale Bloomlife across the United States and internationally.
- Collaborate with the commercial team (sales & marketing) to develop Bloomlife’s scientific evidence and medical communication strategy; including authorship of clinical studies and white papers and maintaining a strong scientific presence at major medical conferences.
- Partner with Regulatory Affairs, Operations, and Quality Assurance in preparation of 510(k) clearance and CE Mark submissions, as well as serving as a medical expert in meetings with the FDA and other health agencies.
- Act as a clinical thought leader by speaking at industry events and promoting Bloomlife and other maternal health issues across media outlets (clinical + mainstream publications, social media, podcasts, etc).
Clinical Service Development and Oversight:
- Develop and implement virtual clinical services including creation of evidence-based protocols, care pathways, and training programs.
- Oversee all clinical operations, ensuring that our services meet the highest standards of medical care and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Supervise and mentor the clinical team to drive sustained engagement and retention and delivery of high-quality culturally sensitive care.
- Ensure the highest quality and integrity across all aspects of medical information and communications; including but not limited to publications, customer education, and marketing materials.
Stakeholder engagement
- Engage with key healthcare stakeholders, including patients, providers, payers, and regulatory bodies, to promote the company's mission and goals and build strategic and commercial partnerships.
- Strengthen engagement and establish/maintain relationships with professional societies, key opinion leaders.
- Advocate for patients’ needs and preferences, ensuring that our services are patient-centered and culturally sensitive.
Innovation and Research:
- Maintain subject matter expertise through review of scientific literature, observation of medical/clinical practice trends, and participation in industry meetings.
- Lead and support research initiatives to advance the field of maternal health and validate Bloomlife’s remote care solutions.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the clinical team and broader organization.
Requirements
Educational requirements:
- Medical degree from an accredited medical school, or a Master's or Doctorate degree in Nursing.
- Board certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology or Maternal-Fetal Medicine.
- Active medical license or nursing license.
Experience:
- Minimum of 10 years of clinical experience, with significant experience in maternal-fetal medicine or high-risk pregnancies.
- Proven leadership in healthcare settings implementing strategic initiatives to improve care delivery for patients and providers
- Experience developing and implementing training programs
- Strong scientific background and track record of clinical publications
- Experience with telemedicine and remote care solutions is highly desirable.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with various stakeholders.
- Deep understanding of clinical research, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance in healthcare.

- Exhibits a high sense of urgency in driving critical initiatives along with a positive attitude and unwavering motivation to succeed
