The Drive:

The Collecting Group (TCG) is a high-growth company redefining the auction industry for car and watch enthusiasts. We're seeking a results-driven Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) with a proven track record of building growth engines, driving creative excellence, and fostering collaborative, high-performing teams.

The Mission:

As our CMO, you'll be the visionary leader of our global marketing strategy, responsible for building brand awareness, driving customer acquisition and retention, and ultimately accelerating our growth trajectory. You'll leverage your expertise in data-driven marketing, creative storytelling, and team leadership to solidify our position as the leading auction platform and content hub for enthusiasts worldwide.

The Challenge:

  • Growth Engine Optimisation: Refine and scale our data-driven, full-funnel paid media strategy to deliver consistently strong ROI and sustainable growth in key metrics.
  • Creative Innovation: Push the boundaries of creative storytelling to develop engaging, multi-channel campaigns that resonate with our global audience and establish us as the go-to destination for enthusiast content.
  • Content Leadership: Leverage your experience in developing engaging content series to create compelling narratives that drive awareness, engagement, and community growth across multiple platforms.
  • Team Empowerment: Foster a collaborative and high-performing marketing team by continuing to implement effective communication channels, regular feedback mechanisms, and opportunities for professional development.
  • Strategic Partnerships: Identify and cultivate strategic partnerships to expand our reach, enhance our brand reputation, and drive revenue growth.
  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Continuously analyse marketing performance data to identify trends, optimise campaigns, and ensure alignment with overall business objectives.
  • Product-Led Growth: Partner closely with the product and engineering teams to develop and launch product-led initiatives through our marketing channels, ensuring a deep understanding of our community's needs and preferences.

The Gearbox:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive global marketing strategy that aligns with our business objectives and reinforces our position as the leading auction platform and content hub for enthusiasts.
  • Lead and inspire a team of talented marketing professionals, fostering a culture of creativity, collaboration, and data-driven decision-making.
  • Collaborate closely with the executive team, sales leaders, and other key stakeholders to ensure marketing initiatives support overall company goals.
  • Manage the marketing budget effectively, demonstrating a strong understanding of ROI and data-driven decision-making.
  • Represent the marketing function at the board level, providing regular updates on marketing performance, initiatives, and ROI.

The Specs (What We'll Need From You):

  • 10+ years of experience in senior marketing leadership roles, with exposure to either marketplace, automotive, luxury goods, or e-commerce businesses
  • Demonstrated success in building and leading high-performing marketing teams, both remotely and in-person.
  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful data-driven marketing campaigns with measurable results.
  • Strong understanding of the digital marketing landscape, including paid media, social media, content marketing, and SEO.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Experience working with boards and presenting marketing performance data effectively.

The Pit Stop:

Parsons Green, London. You'll be predominantly based here, our London HQ. You'll need full UK working rights (sorry, we're unable to provide sponsorship for this position).
