What we are looking for

Symmetry Software is seeking a dynamic and experienced CMO/Head of Marketing to lead our enterprise B2B marketing efforts. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for creating, shaping, and executing our marketing strategy. You will build a full-stack enterprise marketing team, including demand generation, product marketing, digital marketing and online presence, sales enablement, analytics and reporting, and lifecycle marketing. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of technical products, including APIs and SDKs, and possesses a proven track record in driving successful marketing initiatives within the enterprise space. You will operate in both a leadership and builder capacity. This role is empowered by the Head of Symmetry.

What you’ll be doing

  • Develop Comprehensive Marketing Strategies: Craft and execute marketing plans aligned with Symmetry’s objectives, ensuring consistent brand messaging and market positioning.
  • Drive Demand Generation and Lead Nurturing: Oversee multi-channel demand generation initiatives, attracting B2B enterprise clients and guiding them through effective lead nurturing programs.
  • Build and Mentor a High-Performing Team: Recruit and lead a skilled marketing team, fostering innovation and collaboration in demand generation, product & lifecycle marketing, digital strategies, and sales enablement.
  • Enhance Digital Presence and Visibility: Strengthen Symmetry’s digital presence through strategic online campaigns, SEO optimization, and compelling content, maximizing brand visibility and attracting qualified leads.
  • Enable Sales Teams for Success: Provide sales teams with impactful collateral, training, and tools to effectively communicate technical product value, ensuring achievement of bookings targets.
  • Implement Data-Driven Lifecycle Marketing: Develop customer lifecycle marketing programs, enhancing retention and loyalty, while identifying upsell and cross-sell opportunities to drive revenue growth.
  • Amplify the Symmetry brand: Own and enhance the positioning and messaging of Symmetry’s brand.
  • Leverage Data for Informed Decisions: Utilize analytics and reporting tools to collect, analyze, and interpret marketing data, making data-driven decisions to optimize campaigns, enhance customer experiences, and maximize ROI.

Experience & Requirements

  • 12+ years of experience in B2B marketing, preferably in the enterprise technology sector with a focus on technical products, APIs, and SDKs.
  • Passionate about empowerment: 5+ years of proven success in building and leading enterprise marketing teams across multiple disciplines, with a track record of leading, mentoring, and motivating a team to drive revenue growth.
  • Domain expert: Strong understanding of digital marketing strategies, content marketing, and marketing automation tools. You have an analytical mindset, excel at data-driven decision-making and in leveraging marketing technologies.
  • Excellent communication skills: You enjoy communicating both verbally and in writing with a diverse set of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Technical acumen: You’ve marketed API and SaaS products that are built for developers and are able to effectively convey complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Bias for action: Bring grit, a willingness to roll up your sleeves, and be a hands-on help to your team, not just a facilitator. Be the entrepreneurial player/coach who is a resourceful, not reliant leader.
  • Impeccable execution: You have a track record of executing and delivering high quality work against complexities and limited resources. You’re able to partner with cross-functional teams to drive results. Other leaders and teammates love collaborating with you. 
  • BA/BS degree.
  • Bonus: You have prior payroll or fintech experience.

Our cash compensation amount for this role is targeted at $170,000/yr to $215,000/yr in Scottsdale & most major metro locations, and $200,000/yr - $253,000/yr for San Francisco & New York. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including candidate experience and expertise and may vary from the amounts listed above.

Symmetry has a physical office space in Scottsdale. Employees who are based in those locations will be expected to work from the office on designated days approximately 2-3 days per week (or more depending on role).

When approved to work from a location other than the office, a secure, reliable, and consistent internet connection is required.
