About the role
As we continue to expand our reach and impact, we are seeking an exceptional strategic finance leader to join our team as our Chief Financial Officer (CFO). You will drive financial excellence and play a pivotal role in our mission to empower individuals to make informed health decisions.
As the CFO, you will be instrumental in shaping ZOE’s financial strategy, ensuring fiscal responsibility, and steering our company through its next phases of growth. Your leadership will be crucial in optimising our financial operations, driving strategic initiatives, and fostering a culture of financial discipline and innovation. Key Responsibilities
As a key member of ZOE’s executive team, you will own:
1. Financial Strategy and Optimization
- Develop and execute a comprehensive financial strategy that supports ZOE’s mission and growth objectives.
- Lead the optimization of finance, accounting, and related processes to drive operational efficiency.
- Implement and manage the automation of routine business processes, potentially through the deployment of a next-generation ERP platform.
- Plan and implement corporate structure changes to ensure cost-efficient resource allocation and liquidity management.
2. Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A)
- Cultivate a planning culture through robust forecasting, budgeting, and extending the role of Finance & Accounting as a strategic business partner.
- Collaborate closely with other departments to ensure alignment of financial plans with overall business strategy.
3. Financial Control and Accounting
- Establish and maintain robust financial controls and reporting systems to ensure accuracy and integrity of financial information.
- Oversee all accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and financial reporting.
- Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial statements, in compliance with IFRS and other regulatory requirements.
4. Investor Relations and Fundraising
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with investors, auditors, banks, and key vendors.
- Assist the CEO in fundraising activities, including preparing board decks and managing due diligence processes.
5. Risk Management, Audit, and Compliance
- Continuously assess financial risks and develop comprehensive risk mitigation strategies.
- Ensure compliance with international taxation regulations, including transfer pricing, tax planning, and tax compliance automation.
Skills and Experience:
- 10+ years of experience in finance and accounting, with at least 7 years in a managerial role.
- Strong foundations in audit, analytics, consulting skills, and practical IFRS knowledge, gained from top-tier consultancy or financial services experience.
- Proven strategic thinking, decision-making and leadership skills.
- Adaptable and able to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
- Environment in budgeting, long-term planning, and financial modelling.
- Expertise in multi-jurisdiction revenue, including US and international taxation.
- Proven success in adopting technology for efficiency, with demonstrated achievements in process optimization and automation.
- Outstanding academic achievement from a top-ranked university.
