Due to continuous growth and expansion, Pharmathen Pharmaceuticals offers a great opportunity for career development and is seeking to recruit a Chemical Lab Senior Team Leader to join our Quality Control team in our Pallini premises. 

As a Chemical Lab Senior Team Leader, the ideal candidate will provide lab leadership and general supervision for daily chemical and physical property testing of materials to determine their conformance to established requirements and ensure conformity to GMP and GLP standards.

Requirements

What you will do:

• Conduct routine and non-routine analysis of raw materials and in-process and finished formulations according to standard operating procedures
• Calibrate and maintain lab equipment
• Participate in the preparation of summaries and reports
• Review data obtained for compliance to specifications and reports abnormalities
• Revise and update standard operating procedures, as needed
• Allocate work to the chemical lab analysts
• Provide on the job training to new team members

The ideal candidate should have:

• Minimum a BSc Degree in Chemistry or relevant field
• At least 3 years of experience within a pharmaceutical environment/Quality control
• Experience in a GMP or GLP environment
• Management experience required

Job-Specific Skills:

• Excellent communication in English language (writing & speaking)
• Competent in laboratory instrumentation (e.g., HPLC, GC, dissolution)
• Exceptional critical thinking skills, with an ability to evaluate systems and processes as part of continuous improvement
• Strong problem solving skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Computer literacy
