- Lead and empower a team of chassis engineers in developing components and systems.
- Responsible for designing, developing, and engineering release of suspension components and systems for vehicles production.
- Play a leadership role in setting vehicle functional objectives at the component level and ensuring team ownership of these objectives.
- Collaborate with Advanced Concepts Engineering (ACE) on the initial development of suspension architectures.
- Participate in the creation of suspension kinematic and compliance models alongside the Chassis Virtual Analysis and Driving Dynamics groups.
- Drive project progress through leadership and ownership, ensuring engineering deliverables meet Project Management Key Process Indicators (KPIs) and deadlines.
- Lead the design, development, and packaging of components, including the management of the Design Verification Plan & Report (DVPR) for each component.
- Support engineering change management and bill of materials, as well as prototype builds using component build matrices.
- Manage issues via Engineering Change Management and Issue Solving (ECIMS) system and CAD model management in the TeamCenter system.
- Develop fastener design and assembly torque specifications, including documentation and secure storage of completed project records.
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- If a recent college graduate, 3.0 GPA minimum
- 5 years of chassis suspension engineering design and development experience (preferred)
- Demonstration of automobile interest (automobile hobby, college project)
- Demonstrated passion to work in automotive industry.
