Position Responsibilities and Objectives:

  • Achieves all sales objectives/budget expectations of Gold Standard Diagnostics’ (GSD) products for the respective geographic region and markets
  • Implements sales plans and programs, both short and long-range, to motivate distributors to increase sales and achieve sales objectives for GSD products and services in the respective geographic region and markets
  • Develops and maintains familiarity with the GSD portfolio relative to the sales scope to identify opportunities and close sales and effectively support our regional distributors
  • Increases market share and visibility of the GSDH product portfolio and brand by participation in events, webinars etc. relevant to the respective geographic region and markets
  • Conducts product presentations, demonstrations and sales workshops to drive awareness and future sales opportunities within the respective markets and region
  • Introduces GSD products relevant to the scope to Eurofins laboratories in the region
  • Provides input to product research and development, marketing and product management regarding competitor sales and marketing tactics, new opportunities relevant to key customer markets, industry trends and needs as well as information on competitor products
  • Prepares accurate regional sales forecasts and communicates to sales and product management as requested
  • Prepares and presents quarterly business reviews for management for the relative sales scope, reporting on and analyzing regional sales performance and presenting plans to address gaps and maximize effectiveness
  • Responds to problems or opportunities in regional accounts by securing assistance and support from others in the organization or through personal action
  • Responds promptly and professionally to leads relevant to the sales scope
  • Hosts channel partner training events, identifies prospective channel partners and establishes distributor relationships in key countries/markets
  • Performs other duties or special projects as required or assigned
  • Maintains all company supplied equipment and material in a safe and usable/serviceable condition
  • Although the typical work schedule for this position is expected to be Monday through Friday during normal business hours, it is a salaried position and additional hours and/or workday flexibility are expected as required to complete assignments and meet business needs.
  • Travel as required. Expected travel associated with this position is 25% or less but may change with industry/business demands; international travel may be required
  • Minimum BS/BA degree in a relevant science-related or business field
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant scientific reagent and/or equipment sales and/or marketing experience
  • Prior experience in international channel/distribution management strongly preferred
  • Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales goals in a business-to-business sales environment
  • Knowledge of respective regional culture and relevant markets
  • Experience with ELISA/immunoassay and/or PCR a very strong plus
  • Outstanding presentation as well as verbal and written communication skills (English, Spanish and Portuguese preferred)
  • Must be flexible with the ability to travel up to 25% as required, including international.
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills. Ability to effectively interact and communicate with individuals at all levels within an organization, both internally and externally.
  • Highly effective at overcoming obstacles and/or objections
  • Able to physically transport, set up and demonstrate reagent/instrument systems and perform manual pipetting of micro-samples as required to support achievement of goals.
  • Knowledge of and proficiency in the use of CRM management tools
  • Must be a self-starter with the proven ability to successfully prioritize and manage multiple tasks/initiatives concurrently
  • Operates efficiently and effectively without the need for extensive support or close management supervision
  • Acts with integrity and honesty in all business interactions, meeting GSD’s Code of Conduct requirements
  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Must be able to travel via common carriers (plane, train, automobile) as required and possess a valid U.S. driver’s license and/or passport
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship.
  • Must be able to work on a computer sitting still at a desk for long periods of time (up to 8 hours per day).
