Channel Account Manager

As a Channel Account Manager at Black Duck Software, you will be pivotal in managing and nurturing relationships with our channel partners in Tokyo. This role is designed for a proactive individual who can handle various operational, strategic, and administrative responsibilities to drive mutual success for both Black Duck and its partners.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with partners to foster collaboration and trust. Act as a liaison between Black Duck and its partners, ensuring effective communication and support.
  • Regular Engagement: Schedule and lead regular meetings with partners to review performance metrics, discuss challenges, and explore opportunities for growth.
  • Training and Support: Provide necessary training and resources to partners to enhance their understanding of Black Duck's products and services, enabling them to effectively sell and support our solutions.
  • Resource Allocation: Share marketing materials, sales tools, and product updates to empower partners in their sales efforts.
  • Collaborate with partners to identify new market opportunities and develop strategic plans for expanding sales within their networks.
  • Work with partners to plan and execute joint marketing initiatives aimed at driving customer acquisition and retention.
  • Monitor and analyze sales forecasts, ensuring alignment with Black Duck's overall business objectives. Provide insights and recommendations based on data analysis.
  • Track partner performance against established goals and metrics, making adjustments to strategies as needed.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for partner inquiries, providing timely and accurate responses to questions related to contracts, orders, and product information.
  • Address any issues that arise promptly and effectively, ensuring partner satisfaction and continued collaboration.

Administrative Responsibilities

  • Create and manage purchasing agreements, ensuring compliance with company policies and partner needs.
  • Oversee the order processing workflow, ensuring accurate and timely fulfillment of partner orders.
  • Manage the billing process for partners, including the preparation of invoices and tracking payments.
  • Complete other administrative tasks as necessary to support the smooth operation of partner management activities.

Required Experience:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in partner sales, demonstrating a deep understanding of partner dynamics and sales processes.
  • Proven experience in order processing with partners, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in handling transactions.
  • Strong reading and writing skills in English are essential; verbal communication in English is preferred to facilitate effective collaboration with partners from diverse backgrounds.
  • Familiarity with negotiating contract documents, particularly partner agreements, is highly desirable.
  • The ideal candidate will be a motivated self-starter with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to think strategically. You should have a strong desire to build successful partnerships and be comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
