CG Supervisor

The CG Supervisor is responsible for delivering any computer generated asset both creatively and technically within the VFX production. Working closely with the VFX Supervisor, Producer and Production Managers the CG Supervisor will collaborate with all CG related departments to define the pipeline and flow for the project.  You Can
  • Work closely with the VFX Supervisor, Producers, Production Managers, coordinators, artists and other necessary departments in creating high quality visual effects
  • Provide clear direction to all CG departments, including but not limited to: assets dev, rigging, animation, lighting, and FX, setting clear objectives and monitoring the process, progress and results
  • Supervise the artist in achieving all technical aspects of production including but not limited to: assets dev, rigging, animation, lighting and FX
  • Keep up on current technology trends and tools (hardware and software) that best suits the production in the development of a stronger creative technical environment
  • Train team members and review their overall performance and work, ensuring the highest standards are met at all times
  • Work closely with Producers and Production Managers to provide a task breakdown and estimates per project
  • Ensure that all teams are working efficiently and productively and are on target to meet all milestones and deadlines
  • Assess and determine new talent with the help of the production and staffing team along with assisting in the actual interview process
  • You Have
  • A minimum of 3 years in the VFX industry in a CG Supervisory role
  • A degree or diploma in a relevant field
  • A thorough understanding of the visual effects process and the ability to interpret the artistic brief from the VFX Supervisor
  • A proven ability to ensure artists work is of the highest standard on both technical and creative levels
  • Ability to motivate individuals and teams as a whole
  • Excellent organizational, communication and project management skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • An approachable, positive and professional manner
  • A proactive and problem solving attitude
