Apprenticely is helping AccuCode AI hire a Certified Medical Coder in Little Rock, AR. 
The ideal candidate will have strong clinical coding expertise and a track record of accurate diagnostic and procedural coding in a clinical setting. This Apprenticeship will offer an opportunity to learn and obtain new certifications.

AICE has passed AAPC certification as well as the USMLE licensing exam.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Review patient medical records and assign appropriate ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS codes
  • Ensure complete and accurate coding for all patient encounters, procedures, and diagnoses
  • Maintain compliance with coding guidelines, federal regulations, and insurance requirements
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers to clarify documentation when needed
  • Participate in regular audits to maintain quality and accuracy standards
  • Stay current with coding updates, regulatory changes, and best practices
  • Support billing operations by providing accurate coding for timely claim submission

Required Qualifications

  • Current CPC, CCS, or equivalent medical coding certification
  • Minimum 3 years of hands-on clinical coding experience 
  • Thorough knowledge of ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems
  • Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems
  • Strong understanding of medical terminology and anatomy
  • Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and compliance requirements

Preferred Qualifications

  • Additional specialty coding certifications (e.g., COC, CIC)
  • Experience in multiple medical specialties
  • Background in coding audit and compliance
  • Knowledge of revenue cycle management
  • Experience with coding software and computer-assisted coding (CAC)
