Your role:

As a Certified Accountant you will be responsible for the effective operation of accounting, from precise bookkeeping to tax and regulatory compliance for DACH subsidiaries (Germany, Switzerland, Austria). This role doesn’t have any direct reports, but it requires working closely and  controlling the work performed by group AR and AP specialists, and taking the responsibility for GL in the DACH region.

You’re in charge of:

  • Maintaining and improving PriceHubble’s accounting processes according to best practices, local (and international) standards.
  • Recording general ledger bookings (corrections, accruals & deferrals, prepayments, payroll entries, IC, allocations…)
  • Preparing monthly reporting package (P&L, BS, CF)
  • Owning month and year end closing process
  • Owning VAT/ESL, and CIT fillings and SFS preparation
  • Enhancing Oracle Netsuite by implementing DACH localization packages to facilitate local processes and compliance.
  • Internal controls, Compliance, and cooperation with external auditors, tax (and other public) authorities.
  • Supporting PriceHubble’s VP Finance and Group Accountant with Management Reporting, KPIs, and Investors Reporting.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting and/or Professional Certification in Accounting /Audit (CPA, CIMA, ACCA, Fachmann Finanz und Rechnungswesen, Wirtschaftsprüfer)
  • 10-12 years of working experience in legal entities following German HGB.
  • Prior knowledge of German HGB, Swiss OR, Austrian Commercial Code (UGB)
  • German native speaker (or C1-level), complemented by B2/C1 English level
  •  3-5 years of experience working with Oracle Netsuite ERP (preferred).
  • Residence in Germany (mandatory)
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills (formulas, pivot tables,...)
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal, and internal personal skills
  • Proven track record improving process efficiencies and solving problems
  • Proven track record of excellence, multi tasking, prioritizing projects and meeting deadlines and goals
