The Head of Finance will lead our accounting operations and champion strategic financial initiatives, all while alignment harmony with the organization’s objectives and nurturing a culture of excellence. This pivotal role is essential for boosting financial performance, refining processes, and overseeing a large team of talented accounting professionals.

Requirements

Principal Accountabilities

  • Lead and manage a team of 100 accounting professionals, ensuring high performance and engagement.
  • Ensure  accounting policies and processes to enhance operational efficiency and compliance.
  • Oversee accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), cash management, Order processing and revenue assurance, and financial reporting processes.
  • Ensure accurate and timely month-end and year-end reporting, driving adherence to deadlines and quality standards.
  • Provide strategic direction and oversight for all accounting functions, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive financial performance and support business objectives.
  • Monitor and analyze financial performance metrics, providing insights
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and maintain a robust internal control environment.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, promoting best practices in accounting and financial management.
  • Engage with stakeholders across the UK, US & APAC regions, leveraging a clear understanding of local financial practices.
  • Lead and manage the implementation of accounting systems to enhance operational efficiency and accuracy.

 

Essential Competencies

  • Previous experience in a similar role is essential
  • Chartered Accountant (CA) with 15 years of experience in accounting and finance.
  • Proven experience in leading large accounting teams (100 members) with a focus on team development and performance management.
  • Extensive experience in drafting accounting policies and processes for organizations.
  • Strong understanding and hands-on experience in AP, AR, cash management, revenue and divisional reporting.
  • Excellent knowledge of month-end and year-end reporting processes.
  • Strong knowledge of UK, US and APAC accounting practices, with MNC experience as a significant advantage.
  • Experience in implementing accounting systems to improve financial operations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a strategic mindset and attention to detail.
  • Basic skills of all Microsoft products, Word, Excel, Salesforce, Workday FPA, Oracle netsuite and e-mail
  • Ability to work in a busy, changing environment without constant supervision.
