We are seeking a detail-oriented and tech-savvy Catalogue Matching Specialist to join our growing team. In this role, you will play a vital role in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our music catalogue data by reviewing recommended sound recording-to-composition (“R2C”), sound-recording-to-sound recording (“R2R”) and composition-to-composition (“C2C”) matches and conducting ownership research. You will also contribute to improving our matching algorithms through research and participation in quality assurance projects.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct monthly audits of sound recording and composition pairings using designated applications to ensure system-generated matches are accurate.
- Utilize comprehensive research methods to verify rights ownership information for writers, including their respective percentages.
- Participate in ad hoc research and quality assurance (QA) projects to identify areas for improvement in our music data enrichment and matching algorithms.
- Analyze discrepancies in identified matches to comprehend the root cause of errors and implement preventative measures to avoid similar issues in the future.
- Identify, document, and communicate the most effective asset verification resources to the team.
- Clearly document and communicate any product limitations impacting performance to the Team Lead.
- Perform other duties assigned by the Rights Management leadership team.
Requirements
- Diploma or a partially completed HND or any other equivalent qualification
- Ability to research and verify writers and ownership percentages
- Excellent communication skills in English language (Verbal and Written)
- Microsoft Excel proficiency
- Good time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills
- Comfortable to work with large datasets
- Ability to function well in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing needs of the stakeholders
