What we need!
We are looking for an Associate Engineering Manager who is ready to take the next step in their career and grow into a leadership role, or has been managing a small team for around a year.
In this role, you will support the career development of engineers and help shape high-performing, inclusive cross-functional teams. You’ll work closely with the team as we scale our products and standardise services in the entertainment industry. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled engineer looking to take their first step into leadership. You'll be supported by an experienced management team who will mentor and guide you as you grow into a confident and capable manager.
Your Day to Day!
- Lead - an Agile team!
- Drive - architecture design and technical discussions within the engineering team.
- Inspire - by being a software engineer role model.
- Communicate - with business, product, and operations teams.
- Ensure - the healthy delivery of the end product.
- Collaborate - with engineering leadership to realize Orfium’s vision in the entertainment industry.
- Motivate & Coach - the team members while creating a nice atmosphere in the team.
- Improve - the quality of the end product by leading code reviews, assuring code quality, and promoting best practices.
- Develop - yourself by willingly learning more & more about technology and engineering teams!
Requirements
Your areas of knowledge & expertise that matters for this role:
- 5+ yrs working experience in creating and maintaining software systems in production environments including Backend/Frontend Web Development Framework (ideally with expertise in Fast API and AWS).
- Know-how in leading an Agile Team of Engineers.
- Able to design, implement and oversee engineering processes.
- In-depth understanding of Modern System Architectures, Design Patterns & Engineering Best Practices, Data Structures.
- Willingness to continuously learn and develop your skills.
- Excellent communication skills in English (verbal & written).

- Proficient experience in leading engineering teams.
- Expertise in Fast API.
- Experience with AWS.
- Experience with consuming third-party APIs.
- Interest in the DevOps culture.
