Navarino Dunes is looking for a Food & Beverage Cashier. The selected candidate will accurately and efficiently manage financial transactions in all restaurants, bars as well as food and beverage charges for conferences. It will correctly register order and issue bills and manage money and card charges. The po requires efficient time management at work. Maintains high levels of performance under pressure. Serves, informs and resolves guest complaints in accordance with corporate standards.

As a Cashier at Costa Navarino, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring a seamless and efficient payment process for our guests, contributing to their overall satisfaction. Your responsibilities will include accurately processing transactions, handling cash and electronic payments, and providing friendly and efficient service at the point of sale. Your attention to detail, numerical accuracy, and commitment to delivering excellent customer service will be essential in creating a positive and smooth experience for our guests.

Responsibilities

  • Thoroughly checks and registers in the Simphony system the majority of restaurant orders accurately and with attention to detail, during his daily duties.
  • Finalizes and closes all accounts correctly, issues invoices, registers BEO charges, etc. Closes funds on a dailybasis by delivering the money and the appropriate reports to the respective departments.
  • Checks and communicates with F&B and kitchen teams about guest specifics (payment method, discount rights, allergies) by checking room numbers.
  • Must show flexibility since a cashier may work in different restaurants/bars during their shift in order to meet business needs and is able to work long hours standing (up to 8) and in front of a screen (up to 6)
  • It keeps clean and safe all areas of its responsibility and the equipment it uses in accordance with the Covid-19 cleaning protocol that has been set.
  • Analyze and organize by prioritizing the tasks of the position (hierarchy of priorities, account, order entry))
  • Knows and applies all H&S rules, hotel policies, SOPs, and brand standards at all times.
  • Must attends all training seminars and trainings provided by the company and is constantly updated on all trends and market news.

Requirements

  • 2 years of previous experience as a cashier or in a similar role.
  • High school diploma.
  • Very good knowledge of English (written and spoken). Any other language is an added advantage.
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills.
  • Ability to operate hotel systems (Opera, Micros, etc.) and other software and computer skills (Microsoft Office etc)
  • Familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems is an advantage.
  • Ability to handle cash transactions with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Interacts with high integrity always showing honesty, goodwill and positive attitude.
  • A dedicated team player, willing to support others, always cooperates correctly and effectively.
  • Has a visitor-oriented attitude and demonstrates a willingness to act proactively to ensure maximum guest satisfaction.
  • Has effective time management skills and is able to prioritize tasks.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a multicultural approach.
