Carrier Partnerships Associate

Our Carrier Partnerships Associate of EMEA, will support and maintain relationships and initiatives with Telesign’s EMEA messaging suppliers. This person will serve as a critical subject-matter expert on emerging trends, technology, and compliance requirements in the messaging space across the EMEA region. While the primary focus for this role will be maintaining partnerships, this person will also have stretch opportunities to assist with key initiatives and projects within TeleSign’s Global Connectivity unit.

About the Role

This role is a critical position supporting the development of Telesign’s EMEA Global Connectivity presence. Our commitment to ensuring individual career objectives align with the company’s growth strategy means this position will focus on future-proofing messaging quality across the EMEA region, specializing in emerging messaging trends. This role will offer opportunities to collaborate cross-functionally across the organization, supporting product, engineering, marketing, sales, finance, and legal teams as we evaluate, explore, and execute strategic partnership opportunities. This person will help execute Telesign’s overall vendor partnership strategy in EMEA region. After understanding the defined strategy, this individual will build key relationships with identified partners, including negotiating, executing, and managing the partnership relationships.

Key responsibilities

  • Account management of Telesign’s messaging suppliers with a focus on the EMEA region, maintaining professional and productive partnerships and periodically reporting to the leadership team to ensure transparency and top-down engagement.
  • Responsible procurement and supplier engagement to obtain sustainable service solutions with the best commercial model at the necessary quality level.
  • Escalation point for all service-related issues with appropriate contact on our vendor’s side.
  • Awareness and documentation of all particularities for worldwide countries with a focus on the EMEA region, around our service specifics, commercial and regulatory changes etc.
  • Help identify where Global Connectivity Unit-related processes, procedures, policies and tools could be improved.
  • Execute the strategy of when to on/off-board suppliers to reduce the cost of sales and improve Telesign’s competitive cost structure.
  • Ability to work with Legal, FP&A teams and Sales teams on a day-to-day basis where collaboration is required for handling of both strategic and operational tasks.
  • Ensuring documentation is continually maintained and up to date, which is essential to the success of our Global Connectivity unit.
  • Ability to represent Telesign in working groups and industry events.

Essential Requirements

  • Preferably a university education, Degree in Economics or equivalent is a plus.
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills, with an ability to be understood effectively by business leaders, executives, product managers, and engineers. Additional language knowledge is a plus.
  • Very strong negotiation and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
  • Strong presentation skills with advanced Microsoft Excel knowledge and financial analytics are a plus.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and be able to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
