Card Payments Project Manager

Location: This role is for Scandinavian countries and preferably based in Denmark

What's it all about?

This role will have responsibility to manage and support the successful execution of a systems programme within an important Visa client in the Nordics. The Card Payments Project Manager will manage the migration from as-is to target solution, utilizing strong and extensive experience from previous system / platform migrations projects to execute and navigate in a complex organisation and multifaceted program structure. Bringing experience and knowledge from major migrations, preferably within the payments / cards area, the role will provide industry best practice is preparations and execution of migration deliverables.

The key deliverables / responsibilities for the role include:

  • Being responsible to plan and execute the pilot and migration activities from as-is to target solution.
  • Manage the topic allocated resources (Visa + client + third party) and provide high level visibility for the programme as well as reporting progress.
  • Actively manage key stakeholders to the assignment
  • Drive and assigned migration tasks in a professional and timely manner with high quality.
  • Ensure collaboration and overall integration within the programme.
  • Understand our clients' business objectives, needs, plans, etc.
  • Identify opportunities and improvements to ways of working.
  • Provide Thought Leadership knowledge and projects regarding the future of payment and retail banking to our client as needed.
  • Coordination with the Visa Hub teams in terms of providing support, additional required information and best practices.
  • Mid to senior level experience of migration in retail banking and/or payment card industry.
  • Strong proven experience within data migration.
  • Ability to manage project team members, providing support, guidance, and direction to both direct and indirect reports (Visa and client project team members).
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills, experienced operating in complex matrix operating structures.
  • Experienced in change management associated with migration programmes.
  • Solid experience of delivery techniques, methodologies, and best practices (Waterfall and Agile).
  • SAFe Agile and/or Agile PM Certifications desirable.
  • Project/programme management in technology, technology consulting, and technology processes.
  • High intellectual capability evidenced by excellent analytical skills.
  • Excellent client relationship management skills (also on senior executive level and across all levels of an organisation).
  • Fluent in English - both verbally and written.
  • Prominent levels of integrity and business ethics.
  • Willingness to maintain professional development.

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office two days a week, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% of the time based on business needs.
