WHY WE NEED YOU? GLAD YOU ASKED...
You will be responsible for setting up and operating a remote broadcast facility, as well as working closely with the on-air talent and overseeing the technical set-up including audio and video lines.
Please note that this is an On call position, which means there are "No Guaranteed hours" and you will be called as and when we have work requirements.
As an On-Call employee, your working hours will vary based on operational needs of the Company. Please be advised that there is no obligation for the Company to schedule you for a shift. On-Call employees are called upon to replace employees on vacation, sick days, or unplanned events.
WHAT'S THE DAY TO DAY LIKE?
WE ARE HOPING YOU HAVE:
- University degree or College diploma in Broadcasting
- Minimum of 2 years experience with HD camera equipment in the broadcast industry is essential
- Knowledge of lighting is preferred
- Experience with live video feeds
- Valid driver’s license with a clean record
COMPETENCIES
- Good interpersonal skills, ability to work well with all other members of a dynamic team
- Ability to work independently, with minimal guidance
- Ability to tell an engaging story with video and audio
- Ability to shoot creatively to ensure the product can be edited with continuity
- Ability to scout locations to find the most appropriate shoot site
- Working knowledge of non-linear editing equipment and HD formats.
- Ability to trouble-shoot technical issues
- Experience shooting news, promos and/or commercials.
