Essential Duties:
The Facilities CAD intern will use basic computer drafting software to generate site plans and construction drawings. The CAD intern will develop and maintain campus maps and building layouts for new and existing spaces.
Required Skills:
Experience reviewing and interpreting blueprints
CAD skills including design applications and an ability to convert drawings to 3D models
Proficient with Microsoft Office, Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint applications
Demonstrates strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
Ability to work effectively in a team environment
Demonstrates problem-solving/critical thinking skills
Required Education:
Enrolled in an accredited college or university and actively pursuing a degree in Drafting & Design, Architectural Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to work alone in confined spaces.
Will perform twisting, reaching above the shoulders and carrying activities, ascending / descending steps, stairs and ladders, stooping and bending at waist, lifting heavy items over 50 lbs.
Special Requirements:
U.S. citizenship or permanent resident status required
Compensation:
The pay range for this position is $30 - $35 per hour.
