Duties and Role:  

  • Under the supervision of NCIA PM the contractor will perform the following tasks:
  • Develop technical requirements for C-UAS acquisition projects,
  • Prototype and evaluate C-UAS technologies,
  • Support multidisciplinary teams and technical and operational stakeholders;
  • Participate in technical and operational meetings, offering advice and seeking solutions;
  • Support NATO in the development of recommendations for updates to current services;
  • Provide meaningful input to envisioning C-UAS solutions that fit best NATO requirements.

Requirements

Skill, Knowledge & Experience:

  • The candidate must have a currently active NATO SECRET security clearance
  • Nationally recognized/certified university qualification on electrical engineering or computer science / programming;
  • Or exceptionally, the lack of a university degree may be compensated by the demonstration of a candidate's particular abilities or experience that is/are of interest to NCI Agency, that is, at least 3 years extensive and progressive expertise in duties related to the function of the post;
  • Must demonstrate expert knowledge of C-UAS technologies;
  • Must demonstrated expert level knowledge C-UAS software components such as: Tactical Awareness Kit (TAK) plug in development, NATO Standards such as SAPIENT (STANREC/AEDP 4869), Unmanned Traffic Management technologies.
  • Must demonstrated expert level knowledge of UAS systems, in particular communication protocols;
  • Must demonstrated expert level knowledge of airborne electronic warfare technologies;
  • Excellent knowledge level of programing languages such as Java, Javascript, C#, Python, GnuRadio, Matlab and Labview;
  • Must have experience in using source control systems and DevOps (GitHub, TFS);
  • Must have experience with the NATO procurement process.
  • Must have excellent spoken and written English communication and presentation skills, as demonstrated by recent experience (within the past 5 years);
  • Must demonstrate the ability and self-motivation to work on his/her own but must also work well within groups as part of a team;
  • Must demonstrate an ability and keen sense for problem-solving.
