Duties and Role:
The contractor, under the direction of the NCIA Lead Engineer in Mons, Belgium, will assist in the configuration of the Core and infrastructure Services of NATO's Deployable Communications and Information Systems (DCIS) assets.
The contractor will provide Level 3 support for the Core Services in the assigned DCIS. Tasks assigned include, but are not limited to:
1. The contractor, under the direction of the NCIA Leading Engineer, will be supporting the Deployable IT Infrastructure.
2. Under the guidance and coordination with the service owners will maintain the Core Enterprise Services that include: Active Directory, Domain Trusts, Exchange Servers, DNS Management, Group Policy Management and software update services.
3. The contractor principle duty will be to monitor, maintain and keep up to date the operational DCIS assets. This includes, but is not limited to, deploying software updates, including emergency updates, system monitoring, maintaining Active Directory and Implement Service requests.
4. The contractor shall use ITSM for resolving incidents, problems and dealing with change requests. The contractor may also be requested to create reports and distribute requests further to the team.
5. The contractor shall support the documentation of the new Baseline Deployment Process and shall also support the preparation of the "As Built Guides" and or documentation for the DCIS to be delivered to the NATO CIS Group.
6. The Contractor shall liaise with the Agency's Centralised Service Desk for incident, problem and change management
7. The contractor may also assist with the planning, coordination and implementation of other smaller infrastructure engineering projects or tasks as directed. Specifically the further deployment of the SCCM architecture.
8. The Contractor shall book hours spent on this task in electronic timesheets provided by the NCI Agency. The Contractor shall submit for validation a timesheet recording the number of hours spent each month to the Service Manager within three business days after the end of the calendar month. The Contractor shall submit the timesheet with the SM's validation signature as an attachment to the invoice for that month. All tasks undertaken will be based upon an agreement between the SM and the Contractor personnel.
9. The contractor may need to travel in order to perform his duties.
