Branded Homewares is a fast-paced category responsible for a broad range of products from Lighting and Decorative Accessories through to Home Textiles and Tableware. We work with brands across the UK to source great trend led products for our customers and on-board exciting new product launches from key home wear brands. We are on a journey to transform our branded ranges, this is a really exciting time to join the category and be part of our future growth.
This is an entry level role and a great opportunity to enter the world of Buying.
As a Buying Assistant you will support the Assistant Buyers and Junior Buyer to manage the critical path whilst undertaking administrative support for the team.
You will be responsible for sample management including booking in samples and arranging sample requests. As well as completing product set up tasks to enable products to go live, and on site checks to ensure our shop window looks it’s best.
As you progress and with support from the Junior Buyer and Buyer you will have responsibility for your own range of products and manage these end to end.
No previous experience in Buying is required but you should be able to demonstrate strong organisation skills and a passion for Homewares product.
· Commercially aware – understand who our customer and competitors are.
· Able to build relationships – you will be expected to build relationships both internally and externally with suppliers.
· Strong communication skills.
· Excellent attention to detail.
· Passionate about Homewares product.
· Ability to prioritise and manage workload.
· A great attitude and willing to learn.
· Can demonstrate initiative and enjoys problem solving.
