We’re looking for a proactive and resourceful Business Operations Manager to own and streamline all aspects of our finances, business operations, recruiting, systems, and more. You’ll be instrumental in creating processes that scale and help drive the company forward.
The SnapMagic company's existing platform (previously known as SnapEDA) is the leading library tool for electrical engineers, helping 1.8 million engineers each year design products like drones, electric cars, and satellites 10x faster. Now we are building Copilot, built on a proprietary dataset of over 10 million components, schematic symbols, and footprints created by SnapMagic.
As the Business Operations Manager at SnapMagic, you'll be working on both high-level strategy and granular tactics, and making a huge impact. This position is a good fit for those interested in learning how great companies scale, seeing how multiple parts of an organization interact, and taking swift action to drive improvements and results across the organization.
Finances:
Manage monthly financial flux, payroll, forecasts, expense management, and budgeting.
Handle compliance, Stripe, and action the Aging Report.
Recruiting:
Own the recruiting process end-to-end, including sourcing, candidate marketing, posting JDs, and managing recruiters.
Run weekly recruiting metrics and strategy meetings.
Ensure smooth onboarding and training for new hires.
Systems:
Implement and improve scalable processes across the organization. This includes:
Documentation
Internal Systems
Financial Systems
Office Management
Automate workflows and enhance efficiency with tools like QuickBooks, Stripe, HubSpot, and Google Sheets/Slides.
People:
Slide preparation and maintenance for internal meetings
Running team OKRs
Enabling team performance
Office Management:
Oversee mail processing, office cleanliness, and inventory management.
Own all performance management (KPIs, OKRs, etc.)
General Business Operations:
Manage relationships with software vendors, insurance providers, and other operational needs.
Execute on-board business operations tasks snappily!
Proactively identify and mitigate future operational challenges
Own all day-to-day tasks
Experience:
At least 5-7+ years in an operational role, preferably in a fast-paced startup environment.
Experience with relationship building internally and externally
Proficiency with hands-on recruiting experience, from sourcing to onboarding.
Proven track record of implementing automation for efficiency and scaling operations.
Strong proficiency with QuickBooks, Stripe, HubSpot, Google Sheets/Slides, and the ability to learn new tools quickly.
Commitment: Available to work full-time in our Redwood City office at least 3 days a week.
Hours: Willingness to work 50+ hours per week as part of a high-performing startup team.
